In the fall of 2005 Clarus identified Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) as its next market following Birmingham, Ala. Lowden Terrace, which lies within five blocks of the eastern edge of Texas Christian University, was the first acquisition in the DFW segment of the Clarus portfolio.

In the summer of 2006, Clarus initiated a rehabilitiation project that addressed several interior and exterior concerns at the property. Completed in April of 2007, the rehabilitation process has increased curb appeal as well as the aesthetic of the apartments and the complex.

Strong demographics, particularly strong job and population growth, make DFW an appealing market for multifamily investment. DFW has also benefited from strong market fundamentals, and the metroplex continues to draw both domestic and international investors.
